Six Technologies. Four Treatment Modes. One Smarter Skincare Ritual.
A sophisticated multi-function facial device designed to enhance skincare absorption, improve the appearance of texture and pores, support firmer-looking skin, and create a more defined, luminous complexion.
The Medicube AGE-R Booster Pro brings several of the most interesting technologies in contemporary Korean beauty tech into a single handheld device.
Rather than asking one technology to address every concern, Booster Pro gives you distinct treatment modes for skincare absorption, visible pore and texture refinement, plumper-looking skin, and facial definition—then layers in LED and sonic vibration to create a highly customizable at-home ritual. Medicube describes the system as combining six functions: Booster, Microcurrent, Derma Shot, Air Shot, LED, and sonic vibration.
Booster Mode
Help Your Skincare Work Smarter
Booster Mode uses electroporation, a technology that applies controlled electrical pulses to temporarily increase the permeability of the skin barrier.
The goal is not to “force” ingredients permanently into the skin, but to create temporary pathways that can help topical skincare ingredients distribute more effectively during treatment.
Medicube positions Booster Mode specifically for enhanced skincare absorption and visible radiance.
Use it with your favorite serum, ampoule, or compatible skincare treatment to turn application into a more technology-driven ritual.
MC Mode
Microcurrent for Bounce and Definition
MC Mode uses gentle microcurrent stimulation and is designed for areas where skin may appear less firm or volumized.
Medicube positions this mode for plumper-looking skin and improved visible definition, particularly around areas prone to a loss of youthful-looking fullness.
Slow upward movements allow the device to become part of a deliberate facial-sculpting routine without turning skincare into a complicated procedure.
Derma Shot Mode
Targeted Facial Definition
Derma Shot is designed for more focused facial contour and definition care.
Unlike Booster Mode, which concentrates on skincare delivery, Derma Shot is intended to work with facial stimulation in targeted areas where greater definition is desired. Medicube describes the mode as helping skin appear more refreshed and defined while supporting overall facial balance.
It is particularly well suited to deliberate outward and upward massage movements along facial contours.
Air Shot Mode
Pore + Texture Care Without Needles
Air Shot Mode is used on clean, dry skin and is specifically designed for visible pore and texture care.
Medicube describes Air Shot as a non-invasive electrical treatment intended to help refine the appearance of pores and uneven-looking skin texture, particularly across areas such as the T-zone and U-zone.
No physical needles are involved.
More Than Four Modes
Behind the four primary treatments are additional technologies that expand the Booster Pro experience.
- Electroporation: supports enhanced topical skincare absorption in Booster Mode.
- Microcurrent: supports plumper-looking skin and visible definition in MC Mode.
- Electrical facial stimulation: used in Derma Shot for targeted definition care.
- Air Shot electrical technology: supports visible pore and texture refinement without physical needles.
- LED: incorporated into the treatment head as part of the device's multi-technology design.
- Sonic vibration: adds mechanical stimulation to the treatment experience.
- Six intensity levels: allow treatment strength to be gradually personalized.
- Skin-contact sensing: Medicube states that the LED activates when the treatment head contacts the skin.
- AGE-R App compatibility: provides additional guidance and allows users to track and personalize their device routine.
One Device. Multiple Skin Goals.
What makes Booster Pro especially interesting is its ability to address several different cosmetic concerns without pretending that one energy modality does everything.
Use Air Shot when your priority is visible pores and texture.
Choose Booster Mode when the goal is maximizing your skincare ritual and creating luminosity.
Move to MC Mode when you want plumper-looking skin and visible definition.
Finish with Derma Shot for more targeted facial contour care.
That separation of purpose is what makes the device much more versatile than a conventional single-function microcurrent tool.
How to Use
Medicube recommends beginning at the lowest intensity and gradually increasing based on comfort.
Air Shot Mode is used first, on clean and completely dry skin. Gently sweep the treatment head outward across the areas you wish to address. Medicube recommends approximately 5 minutes, two to three times per week.
After applying skincare, Booster Mode can be moved across the skin in slow circular or outward motions to support product absorption.
MC Mode follows skincare application and is used with deliberate upward movements.
Derma Shot Mode can then be moved slowly outward or held briefly over selected areas for targeted facial-definition care.
Medicube's current guidance permits Booster, MC, and Derma Shot modes for approximately 5–10 minutes per session, with frequency adjusted according to skin condition and tolerance.
Always follow the manufacturer's current instructions and contraindications supplied with your device.
The Proaging Perspective
At Proaging Technology, we are particularly interested in devices that use different technologies for different purposes rather than attaching a long list of claims to a single energy modality.
That is where the AGE-R Booster Pro becomes interesting.
The most compelling feature for us is Booster Mode and its use of electroporation. Skincare formulations are designed to work at the skin surface and within the limits of the skin barrier. A technology specifically engineered to temporarily influence that barrier gives us a very different proposition from simply massaging serum into the skin.
We also like that Medicube separates its treatment objectives intelligently.
Microcurrent is used for visible bounce and definition.
Air Shot focuses on pore and texture appearance.
Derma Shot concentrates on facial definition.
Electroporation focuses on topical delivery.
Those are distinct functions—not interchangeable marketing terms.
And because the device is compact, rechargeable, adjustable, and designed to work with skincare you already own, it can realistically become part of a regular routine rather than something that disappears into a drawer after several uses.
Our view: the AGE-R Booster Pro is a particularly versatile entry into advanced at-home beauty technology—ideal for someone who wants more than one modality but does not want a collection of separate devices covering the bathroom counter.
One device. Four purposeful treatment modes. A much more intelligent skincare ritual.
